MiMaMü was composed for Náttey Ensemble which premiered the piece at the ensemble's debut concert in Mengi, Reykjavík in February 2015. The instruments are titled as Mi, Ma and Mü in the score and each represent a city; Milan, Malmö and München, which are the cities the three performers were living in at the time.
